¡Ø Total Semesters: You should register for 5 semesters of classes (with completion of a thesis paper, ---credit hours OR without completion of a thesis paper, 30 credit hours) to get the MA degree.

I. Eligibility
International applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements:
(1) He or she holds or will hold a bachelor¡¯s degree by March 1, 2017.
(Korean citizens who hold dual citizenship are not eligible to apply as international students.)
II. Required Documents

2. Statement of Financial Resources
(Affidavit of support, bank statement, employment and income certificates)
|
Applicants who choose self-support or a parental sponsor as their means of financial resources should attach a bank statement showing the capacity to meet a year of educational expenses at Uiduk University. Please look at the downloaded file for more detailed information.

3. Recommendation Letters (2)
|
¤ýTwo recommendation letters are required. One should come from the advisor in the department and/or the other from the Director of the TESOL MA Program at Uiduk University.
¤ýApplicants who are working can also get recommendation letters from their supervisors. The letter must be written on a letterhead showing the institution¡¯s full address, telephone and fax numbers. The letter must be stamped with the institution¡¯s official seal.
¤ýIf a recommender is mailing the letter separately, have him/her mail it directly to the Admissions Office by the deadline.
¤ýWe do not accept recommendation letters via email.

4. Degree/Diploma
|
¤ýCopies of bachelor¡¯s degree and diploma from every institution the applicant attended or is attending are required.
¤ýIf the applicant is expected to graduate before February 28, 2014, he/she should submit a certificate of expected graduation or an official letter from his/her university indicating the date of graduation and the degree which will be conferred. If accepted into the program, the applicant needs to submit all diplomas/degree certificates within 15 days of the enrollment to the Admissions Office.

5. Transcripts
|
¤ýOfficial transcripts with a year-by-year grade records of courses the applicant has taken from every institution attended or is currently attending are required. (Each transcript must have the official seal or imprint of the institution as well.)
¤ýTranscripts should show the percentile rank.
¤ýTranscripts can be mailed to the Admissions Office separately by the deadline

6. Identification

Copies of current passport and alien registration card are required.. (Include a copy of pages showing the passport number, dates of issue and expiration, photo and name.)

7. Employment Certificate
|
¤ýIf you have any work experience or internship related to your study and research, please attach an attested certificate or an official letter.
¤ýDuration of employment, position, and job description should appear on the certificate or letter.
¤ýThe list will be valid only when testimonials or evidence are submitted.

III. Notice
1) Submitted documents will NOT be returned in any case. Please keep a copy of all application materials in case the materials get lost in the mail.
2) The application fee is non-refundable and will not be waived.
3) Applicants can submit copies of their diploma(s) (or graduation certificate) and academic transcripts after showing the originals.
4) All documents should be in Korean. If they are in any other language, they should be submitted with official Korean translations and notarized.
5) Certain documents (e.g. letters of recommendation, diploma and transcripts) can be sent directly and separately to the Admissions Office. All documents must arrive no later than the end of the day of the deadline.
6) The admissions staff reserves the right to request additional documents from applicants and to verify the authenticity of submitted materials.
7) Applicants whose forms and supporting documents are incomplete or found to be false, forged or counterfeit will be automatically disqualified from the admissions process.
Note: The offer of admission (even after being admitted) and the MA in TESOL diploma(even after having graduated from Uiduk University) may be revoked if any of the submitted materials are found to be false, forged or counterfeit.
IV. Apostille Requirements
Those who are newly admitted to Uiduk University should submit Apostille certificates ( for official certificates such as diplomas, transcripts, etc.) within 20 days after they are enrolled to Uiduk University. Public documents issued by public schools or institutions such as diplomas, transcripts, etc. should have attached Apostille certificates with them. Public documents from private schools or institutions should have notarial attestations before applying for Apostille certificates. All of the documents should be written in Korean. If they are in another language, they should be translated into Korean and notarized by a notary office before applying for the Apostille certificate.

VI. Application Fee
The application fee is 50,000 KRW or 50 USD. Payment can be made by bank transfer or money order.
